2011 Ballooning Over the Serengeti
As if simply just being in Tanzania wasn’t mind-blowing enough, we topped it by taking this spectacular dawn balloon ride over the Serengeti. OMG!
2011 Tanzania Safari (itinerary)
A retirement gift to ourselves, this incredible private safari trip is the kind of wonderful adventure that keeps on giving through some amazing memories!
We witnessed not just one, but two wildebeest river crossings! We stayed at some luxury tent camps (think 4 Seasons with wildlife), visited a Maasai village, Oldupai Gorge (the cradle of civilization), Ngorongoro Crater, captured photos of the Big 5, and topped this trip off with a 3-day R&R stay at a beach resort in Zanzibar.
2014 Morocco
An Overseas Adventure Travel tour!
We traveled to Rabat; through the Rif Mountains; visited Meknez, Volubilis, the city of Fez; enjoyed meeting nomad tribes; traveled to Tinneghir, and of course, Marrekesh. We also experienced the first snow and torrential rain in Morocco in over 30 years, and spent several days in the Sahara Desert where it rained and we got to witness first-hand the “desert greening!”
