1991 Spain
Our very first trip to Europe! We visited three European countries: England, Scotland and Spain. All three are historic and beautiful locations, which felt like three very different vacations rolled into one. Little did we know then that we would quickly fall in love with these countries and visit them again, and again, in the future.
We visited Madrid, Seville, and Toledo.
1996 Greece
Our 1996 trip to Greece was a whirlwind cruise through history. We explored Athens, Crete, Delphi, and the islands of Mykonos—each stop steeped in myth and beauty. The journey even took us beyond Greece, with unforgettable visits to Istanbul and the ancient ruins of Ephesus.
2000 Prague
The first of two trips we made to Czech and the beautiful old city of Prague. I had to teach a class, but Lisa was able to play tourist and see the sights!
2002 France
Our very first trip to France, and we fell in love with this country! We rented a car and drove through the Loire Valley, staying at a lovely chateau and visited so many castles! The beauty of France cannot be overestimated. We also visted the Louvre, a mind-blowing museum, and of course, Paris, a remarkable city unlike any other.
